  1. Create a proper work space

Many might neglect the importance of having a proper work space or office, however it does play an important role in productivity. A proper work space allows an individual to have a proper mind-set during work.

Setting a workplace in the quietest and free of distraction area is one of the top rule in having a productive environment. You wouldn’t want your children to barge in during zoom meetings or having TV noises playing in the background while you are trying to work peacefully, right?

  1. Lightings Exposure

In case you are wondering, is lighting important? Well, let me ask you, do you fall asleep easily with dimmer lighting or no lighting at all? And the answer is yes. Lighting does affect effectiveness in human too.

If you are working during daytime, you might need a lot of light exposure to keep you awake and focus in working. Having natural lighting like sunlight gives individual a better concentration and efficiency. However, to reduce natural lighting that has too much exposure, you can always use suitable curtains are blinds to cover it.

  1. Connect with each other

Even though we are physically distancing but make sure to be socially connected. Call your peers, check-in with colleagues and align your goals and deliverables. Make sure everyone is reachable and is on the same page. Arrange regular inspections to make colleagues feel that they are always part of the team & result oriented.

  1. Make some plans

Working is important, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have plans at home. Set a proper working time for yourself and spend the rest of the day by doing the things you love. For example, spending time with family, working out, baking, reading and etc. By setting up a schedule for your own, both your professional and personal life can be balanced evenly.

  1. Move, breathe & eat

Move — always take some breaks and walk around during working hours. We might not feel it, but our body does!

Breathe — staying in the room working the whole day isn’t an ideal way of being productive.  Go out of the house for a few minutes, get some sunlight exposure on your skin and obtain some fresher air outside.

Eat – breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the 3 most important meals in a day. Eat your meals regularly and on time, it allows our metabolism to be more active.
